Interesting Dream Last Night
I can't say I don't dream often, because I do... but I have gotten somewhat good at decipthering when it's the Lord and when it's not... still learning though.
The dream I had last night was interesting, I believe it was the Lord:
Moniqua (my wife) and I were ministering to young, abused and demonized people. This is something we do in reality, but what made this dream interesting was God gave us a unique wisdom and authority while we were ministering. We prayed for people with such calmness and normalness even as they were screaming and yelling at us... some of the young people started to manifest and curse at us.... however, we were very calm, ignored the threats, ignored the incredible mess around us and were able to release God's love and healing to them. When we did they were immediately set free and able to start ministering with us...
Very interesting. I see that type of authority on us as we pray for people now. In my humble opinion it is because of the hardship and difficulties we have been through in ministry. God is able to entrust these types of people to us to clean them up, love on them and train them to be released into their purposes in the Kingdom.
Very Interesting Indeed.

Core Values
Preserving your "Core Values" is an intimidating act in today's ever changing modern world. As time leaps forward, the pressure to change in accordance with time is a requirement many undertake but in doing so many trade the core of who they are for the sake being relevant in an ever changing world.
This is a trend that I have seen in the American church for quite some time. From the focus of churches, music, campaigns, etc.... the focus has shifted from God and being attuned to Him and what He is doing on a moment by moment basis... to being relevant for the sake of saving the lost. A noble effort with a great, great heart behind it... but, are we trying to accomplish something because we interpret that is what God wants us to do? Therefore, we work like busy little bees to create an environment we think will attract others, but in doing so we take away attributes of God in order to not offend others?
In all honesty, outside of the United States borders, in shanty towns.. were money and knowledge do NOT rule.... God moves sovereignly. The people, some of who worship God in poop huts made with with straw and mud... but man oh man.... God shows up... and when He shows up people get saved... people get healed... people prophecy...and it's not just adults... it's little kids.. 2-13 yrs old... crying... prophesying.... people with disease healed... people that are blind seeing again! Why does this happen? Because they are not full of pride! They are humble people... they have not attained to the religious knowledge that the American Church thinks it has... however, they BELIEVE with all of their heart, mind, soul and spirit that God is real and He is alive and directs them on a moment by moment basis.... that my friends is living in the Kingdom of God!
I talk with many pastors & worship leaders.... I read these blogs and their hearts are good... genuine good hearts... they honestly are trying... But man, we have to come back. We need to learn a valuable lesson. Come back to the core of who God is and reveal that to others. Hiding who God is or toning things down can be deceitful. In no place in scripture do I see that. I sure don't see Jesus doing that. Guys and gals, we can't be afraid of messes anymore. We can't put being culturally relevant at the top of our agendas anymore. We must, must put living in the moment with God at the forefront. We must change our core values once again.
This is why Jesus was such an incredible example... He shows us that no matter what mess or what opposition came His way... His core values were not swayed. Even satan himself tried to test His core securities and values... but he couldn't be swayed. Because He knew His Father. He knew what the Kingdom of God is like. He knew His purpose and who He was.... He would not be swayed.
Pray about this... this is a rough statement... but I pray you sense the Holy Spirit in this. This is a life message that God is instilling in me. At times I feel I am out to lunch and should just conform.... and then God speaks very sovereignly to me and it gives me that much more power to not be swayed. I am not trying to be prideful... trust me, I would rather just go with the flow.... it would save me a lot of headaches and pain... but that's not being honest and it goes against the core values that God has burned into me.

Some Slide
If you don't know Marc Ford, then you probably don't know the genius of tone.
Marc graced us with his abilities again and laid down some sick (That means great!) slide guitar tracks.
He makes that thing sing like a human voice...
Once the album is done, stop by and take a listen... I'm sure you will enjoy! We still have much to do with mixing all the songs and also have to finish the keys on 2 of the songs.... but after that we are done and ready to go to mastering!
I look forward to seeing what you guys and gals think once it's complete!

Off to Lizotte's Again
Well, I'm off to Lizotte's again...
This time to begin the building process of my new song called "ONE". We were up in LA last week recording the drums to the weeeee hours of the morning.... now it's time to start doing the guitars and bass.
It's always fun to see a song finally take shape... and it's also nice for it to be done!!
BTW, my studio is almost finally done... We have had some problems with the Viewing Window not being soundproof enough... I was originally sold a dual pane window that was 71X48... but it rattled a bit and that would of been a catastrophe. I asked a bunch of studio guys I know how to properly construct a studio window.... If you are in the process of doing that, please take a look at this link: http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7324&highlight=window
It's a cool step-by-step, 3d animation of building a soundproof window. In my case, I re-framed the opening to be much smaller at 40X30 with 1 panel being 1/2" thick and the other being 1/4" thick. The 2 panels are spaced 4" apart and angled at 4 degrees sloping outward from bottom to top. I will post some pics soon..
Soundproofing is a tedious task... but even without the drywall on my studio was pretty tight... you have to make sure you use "SoundStop" (A fiberous board) on the walls first before the 5/8" drywall... every crack and crevice must be foamed and sealed.... The walls & the roof all are insulated, have soundstop and will now have the 5/8" drywall... very tight...
So, I look forward to finally putting my new gear and argosy workstation (http://www.argosyconsole.com/) in and getting down to recording other worship leaders and myself! hehe...
If you read this and your interested, let me know...!! If you have any studio creation experiences, reply and let me know!

WHEN DEEP CALLS TO DEEP
Have you ever been through the process of God calling into the deep of your very life, your very soul, your heart? It feels like someone taking a very powerful speaker and adding mega-watts of bass to the subwoofer..... it rumbles... it booms.... it makes your whole being shiver at the power...... but, somehow, it's gentle... it feels like a stream that is slow moving... a cool place to dip your feet and feel refreshed... it's quite contradictory to itself.....
The worshiper God seeks, does worship Him in "Spirit and Truth"...... but is also the one who allows the creator of the universe to open your mouth and call to the deep in your very being..... Picture this:
Standing in front of the Throne of God... Jesus walks up to you. You begin to shake and tremble... you fall to your face..... Jesus grabs your hand and helps you stand...... He gently uses both of his nail pierced hands and holds your cheeks on either side of your face...... He puts His face to yours...... and with a BOOMB!.... He speaks to the deep places of your life..... He speaks for the pain to go...... He speaks to the sin and forgives it..... He tells you who you are..... He cleans the dirt from your soul..... He tells you who He is...... He laughs at your personality and is amazed at His creation...... He tells you how much He loves you.... You begin to weep..... Your feel like a nuclear bomb just went off in your gut..... You can't believe all that has just happened.... You are amazed and didn't realize His love for you...... You didn't realize that You are His beauty.... You didn't realize that you are His family.... His voice goes from a roar to the sound of a gentle stream.... He knows you are tired from the ordeal...... Your body can't withstand His presence...... He rubs your head and holds you to His chest..... He walks you to a grassy place that is warm, but cool at the same time..... He helps you lie down to rest..... He gently speaks to you over and over again..... He starts to whisper.... your eyes close, you are tired....... He continues to whisper "I Love You" over and over again...... After some time, you awake. You are refreshed.... You now know who you are..... You still smell Him... You realize His fragrance is now a part of your smell..... You realize what you need to do...... You know your purpose..... You know You are love and nothing can separate you from Him....... Your enemies don't matter..... Your circumstances don't matter.... Your money doesn't matter..... Your time doesn't matter..... All that matters is Him....
Jesus, call to the deep in all of those who seek the deep........ You are more than we could possibly ever know.
Psalm 42
BOOK II : Psalms 42-72
1 For the director of music. A maskil of the Sons of Korah. [a]
[b] As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
4 These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go with the multitude, leading the procession to the house of God, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng.
5 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and
6 my God. My [c] soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
7 Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.
8 By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.
9 I say to God my Rock, "Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?"
10 My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
11 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
